What did Terry Allen do for the the real music world? He was a Local Lubbock legend just like Joe Ely and the Maines Brothers. They pick real pretty but did not have an original sound that influenced the music business. Not one hit record from the Lubbock Mafia. Matter of fact, not even a charted record. Buddy, Waylon, Mac,and the String-A-Longs influenced music all over the globe.

What about Larry Trider? He influened the Maines Brother to the point that they sounded just like him. I think Larry Trider has been over looked for too long now. What about Keith McCormach from Plainveiw? He wrote "Sugar Shack" the number one pop record of the year in 1961.
